Aerating

Aerating is preformed if the ground has become compacted or moss has taken over. The aerator is a long roller with blades staggered along the drum, as it is dragged across the ground it slits and spikes the ground to the desired and preset depth regenerating the soil with oxygen and allows moisture to seep down rather that sit on the surface.

Dependant on the soil type, aerating is best preformed during the autumn months as to reduce the chance of the ground drying excessively leaving cracked and damaged soil, this normally applies to aerating preformed during spring and summer months if a hot summer is experienced.
